$TNSR Exchange listing goes live at 3PM UTC ⏰
The Solana community readies itself for another week of extreme demand with the Tensor token (TNSR) drop which arrives on the heels of a yet-to-be completed Wormhole distribution.
The TNSR token is the governance token for Tensor, the premier NFT marketplace on the Solana blockchain.
Through TNSR, stakeholders can influence the development and governance of Tensor, making it a dynamic and community-driven platform.
Five months left until Breakpoint 2024 in Singapore 📅
Breakpoint 2024 is the fourth installment of the popular ecosystem event and is being held in Singapore.
The first Breakpoint event was located in Lisbon, Portugal back in November 2021.
Having withdrawals? Don’t worry, Solana has a few more IRL events between now and then starting with #HackerHouseDubai on April 15/16.
Dubai is rocking and rolling with crypto events that week including another one of the most popular conferences of the year - ETHDubai.
Meet the Mad Lads (and Lassies) of Vietnam 🇻🇳
Mad Lads Vietnam is the most prolific Mad Lads community and it’s not even close.
With 200+ members they have established themselves as the largest regional saturation of Lads in the world.
They have helped spearhead the Mad News Tiếng Việt translations and routinely add to the newsletter by giving cultural context and explaining difficult crypto concepts.
Chatting on social platforms is super convenient, but let's not forget how awesome IRL meetups are.
Since MLVN was born in late 2023, we have hosted and co-hosted 4 events including 1 Twitter Space and 3 in-person community gatherings. There's something special about the vibe at these hangouts. We're planning to make these gatherings a monthly thing.
Seeing more and more of you join us really warms our hearts and pumps us up.
Everyone's welcome at MLVN meetups, whether you are a Mad Lads holder or Mad Lads wannabe.

Holding Mad Lads NFTs and using Backpack is a web3 cheat code 🎮
The amount of rewards and incentives that Mad Lads holders have received is getting hard to keep track of.
Conservatively a Mad Lads holder who has received all possible airdrops and claimables has stacked over $30k USD.
What’s interesting is that almost all of those airdrops were not done with any effort by me or the Backpack team.
It was all done because the community earned it.
This trend continues as SharkyFi released a teaser indicating that Lads will be the newest bag holder of their upcoming token.
Backpack users have also been on the receiving end of bonuses in form of points multipliers on Tensor, Zeta Markets, MarginFi and half a dozen other popular Solana brands.
Galxe is one of the first Ethereum-centric platforms which has turned on the rewards faucet for Backpack users during their ‘Solana Takeover’.
Solana Legend revitalizes the Mad Lads Townhall meetings 📢
Mad Lads Townhall meetings were a tentpole event during the depths of the previous bear market.
Solana Legend fills the role of both reporter and hype man by covering the most pressing topics in the Mad Lads and Backpack universe.
This was the first Townhall since the bull market took off and is breathe of fresh air from our memecoin and network outage dominated timelines.
Bull market vibes have turned the Spaces machine back on and both Mad Lads and Backpack are diving in heads first.
The Tensor x Backpack session was hosted in Turkish with mostly English conversation.
Extreme network congestion disrupts rebate and referral distribution 📊
In the days leading up to Wormhole’s long awaited token release the Backpack Wallet was loaded with a claim checker tool that verified if an address was eligible.
This Wormhole event represents the culmination of years worth of building both technology and relationships.
Launch parties were scheduled across the world in anticipation of the token’s release.
Backpack announced trading support of Wormhole’s new token early Wednesday morning along with release of the ‘Volume Matters Phase 1’ rewards claim.
As we distribute the 27m $W reward to 300,000 people, we will do so in batches to avoid network congestion.
If you traded >$5k volume on Backpack Exchange between Feb 13 - Mar 18 you are eligible. Check your Questlog!
At the same time that Backpack was announcing Wormhole news the Solana network was beginning to experience the biggest period of network congestion in it’s brief (four year) history.
The Wormhole drop is going to generate incredible amounts of onchain activity. As such, we expect some degree of network congestion and a potential slow down on Backpack Exchange deposits and withdrawals.
LFG!
Solana has been experiencing delays and transaction failures for several weeks as popularity around the protocol skyrockets.
The Wormhole event may have been the straw that broke the camels back.
Q1 2024: 500,000 active wallets on Solana
Q2 2024: 1,400,000 active wallets on Solana
Improvements and fixes to speed up the network were implemented over this week will begin to launch in production within a few days.
Backpack Devs are shippoors of the highest quality 💎
In typical 1000x fashion the Backpack dev team shipped upgrades and added new features to the Exchange amidst the constraints of Solana network congestion.
Instant internal transfers
Users have requested instant token movements between main accounts and subaccounts since the Exchange launched.
This will only apply when withdrawing to exchange accounts. Withdrawing to other accounts on Solana (or any network) will go through the underlying blockchain.
Referral rebate and Quest reward history
Track your referral rebate and Quest reward history within your Portfolio.
Advanced trading charts receive major upgrade
Custom chart indicators, settings and drawings are now autosaved in your browser for each market.
Bitcoin/USDC trading goes live
Bitcoin deposits, withdrawals and trading are live on the Exchange for the first time.
Manual referral code entry
A common issue with the referral link system is that a user will get disconnected during the KYC process resulting in a failure to register for the referrer.
Backpack has taken a step to solve this condition by allowing the manual addition of a referral code.
Mad Lads announce a ‘vesting xNFT’ for Wormhole Badge holders 🖥️
There is not much information available for the ‘vesting xNFT’ that was announced this week but I can make an estimated guest.
Mad Lads with a W Badge are slated to receive a healthy allocation of tokens during Wormhole’s airdrop period.
Eligible Mad Lads will receive 16000 $W.
3200 liquid on $W TGE and the remaining amount will vest daily for a year.
This vesting xNFT may be the mechanism for distribution as well as storing until the token vesting period is completed.
It wouldn’t be NFT.NYC without a Mad Lads meetup 🍎
Holders and fans met to enjoy an evening of Mad NFT.NYC festivities hosted by none other than Mad Monkey himself.

Guillaume was identified as the responsible culprit and received a veritable standing ovation from the community.

Imagine having Armani Ferrante as a mentor ⚔️
Backpack’s culture of being constant shippoors starts at the very top with the prototypical 1000x dev, Armani Ferrante.
This influence will soon impact a lucky team of builders who have battled their way onto the winners podium at Colosseum’s first hackathon, Renaissance.
After the Solana Renaissance Hackathon, winners will be evaluated for our startup accelerator.
Up to 10 of the teams will be accepted and receive $250k in funding, 1:1 support from Colosseum, guidance from the mentors & more.
Armani is just one of a large pool of Solana’s brightest who will be lending their experience and perceptions to the next generation of disrupters.
Cubik raises $50k over goal for public goods grants 🪂
Cubik started their public good grant pool fundraising round with a contribution of $50,000 USD, the goal was to double that amount.
Public Goods need your support.
Open Source Software is the backbone of the Internet and Crypto. Builders and Researchers burn out while corporations profit off their free Legos.
It's time to change that on Solana.
The Solana community quickly stood up and collectively donated a massive $105,000 infusion to the program.
The seed fund will be distributed across:

Bring the in with a little candy, something they love, and inevitably the conversation is going to turn to crypto.
