Maintenance did not take long and after a sleepless night the team seamlessly integrated deposits, staking and an inaugural period of SOL/USDC trading.
As we reach the end of the staking phase for the inaugural Backpack Exchange beta, some numbers to share from our compliance team.

OtterSec attempts to penetrate Backpack Exchange
Part of the Backpack Exchange security mission is to routinely involve outside auditors to determine the sureness of code.
Next, one of the biggest milestones we need to achieve before removing the "beta" tag from the exchange is proof of reserves--verifiable from code you can see and run yourself. Not at random times. But every day. Attestations on the blockchain.
Proof of reserves is one of the most notable differences between typical centralized exchanges and Backpack.
